RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Limited flame spread properties will be reduced if contaminated with flamable liquids
  • These garments are not intended to provide protection against large splashes of molten metal
  • Garments if worn next to skin may not eliminate all risk of burns
  • These garments can only protect where it covers the body, additional partial body protection may be required
  • Non conforming garments to EN ISO 11612 and / or EN 1149-5 when worn over these garments eliminates the effectiveness of these garments
  • Workers wearing electrostatic dissipative protective clothing should be properly earthed via electrostatic dissipative footwear meeting EN 344 or EN 345 or by other suitable means
  • The garment is only intended to protect against brief inadvertent contact with live parts of an arc welding circuit and that additional electrical insulation layers will be required where there is an increased risk of electric shock.
  • The level of protection against flame will be reduced if the welder’s protective clothing is contaminated with flammable material
  • The electrostatic dissipative performance of the electrostatic dissipative protective clothing can be affected by wear and tear, laundering and possible contamination
  • The electrostatic dissipative protective clothing shall not be used in oxygen enriched atmospheres without prior approval of the responsible safety engineer at site
  • The electrostatic protection provided by the garment will be reduced when it is wet, dirty or soaked with sweat
  • In case of a two-piece protective garment, both the items should be worn together to provide the specific level of Protection

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Protective garments should be cleaned regularly,as per recommended instructions. Always wash your Flame Retardant PPE separately to avoid some migration of flammable loose fibers or components. After cleaning the garment, please inspect before re-use.

WASH CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For Wovens

Wash at 60°C, do not use detergents containing phosphate or chlorine. Tumble dry allowed. Use dry cleaning agent other than Trichloroethylene. Iron at medium setting. Do not bleach, do not use acids when rinsing.

For Knits

Flat Dry allowed. Use dry cleaning agent other than Trichloroethylene. Iron at low setting. Do not bleach, do not use acids when rinsing. Wash at 40°C; do not use detergents containing phosphate or chlorine.

Notes

Always wash your Flame Retardant PPE separately to avoid some migration of flammable loose fibers or components. Pre washed dirty garments, Make sure that the garments are properly rinse after wash.

STORAGE

Importance should be placed on ensuring gaments are not subjected to damp storage conditions and under direct. Sunlight, as direct sunlight may cause the color to fade. Garment, if unused for 1 year should be washed as per the care instruction before use.

OBSOLESCENCE

The flame retardant properties of this fabric are guaranteed for the wear life of the garment. Proper wash care instructions have to be followed.

REPAIRS

In Incorrect repairs will adversely affect protection and may therefore reduce this garment’s protection below the minimum requirements, to which it was manufactured. Ensure that the garment is repaired with fabric of the specified type only. All accessories are to be replaced using the specified product. Effort must be made to reduce thread exposure where patching is applied on the fabric. Guidance for repairs can be addressed to the manufacturer who will advise as to the correct methods.

WARNING

The garments can be worn as set and also individually with another flame retardant for complete protection. These garments are suitable when worn for up to 8 hours at an ambiet temperature. Dirty clothing may lead to a reduction in protection. Nonconforming garments to EN ISO 11612 when worn over these.
